I have just discovered Le opera di Giovanni Battista Piranesi, Franceso Piranesi e d'altri on-line, on a site copyrighted to the University of Tokyo and Massanori Aoyagi. There are volumes dedicated to Rome and surrounding sites, and to drawings of ancient objects, but also one to the theatre of Herculaneum (1783) and three to Magna Graecia (i.e. Pompeii! Vols 27, 28 and 29; mostly the area around the Herculaneum Gate, and the Theatre district and Temple of Isis) (1804). Fantastic stuff!
