Exhibition: Vivere a Pompei

In the year A.D. 79, the Roman city of Pompeii was buried in the cataclysmic eruption of Mt. Vesuvius. Though the city was destroyed, a record of its life, culture and achievements was preserved in the ashes. The exhibition 'Vivere a Pompei' ('To Live in Pompeii') features 255 priceless artifacts and art pieces excavated from the ruins; most are from the collection of the Naples National Archaeological Museum. This exhibition provides a breathtaking view of the miracle of Pompeii, and sheds light on the life, culture and society of the ancient Roman Empire.
