Recuperata statua di epoca romana

A great story from Il Nolano! The Soprintendenza lent a statue of a barbarian (thought to have come from a tomb, and discovered in 1940) to a private citizen in 1975 'che ne affidò temporaneamente la custodia e l’onere della conservazione'. The citizen seems to have set it up outside his house and ignored requests to give it back! The carabinieri have just taken it back, and it will be going on display in the archaeological museum of Nola shortly.

The image is from Il Nolano.
