Vesuvioweb.com on UTube

www.vesuvioweb.com have been uploading videos to UTube. There are all sorts of things, all about Neapolitan culture and history, and there are some interesting clips of archaeological sites (Pompeii, Boscoreale, Oplontis, Villa Sora) and eruptions of Vesuvius (slide-shows of paintings and photos from different periods). See their UTube page here. This is a useful teaching resource, I think.
This video shows the excavation of the Villa Sora, and some of the frescoes found there. Having visited the remains of this villa recently - which is in poor condition - so it's nice to see the frescoes with such vivid colours (although I suspect that a few of the pictures in the middle of the clip have been touched up!) and it gives an idea of how beautiful this villa must once have been.
