Purse found at Herculaneum: do you know Susan Iley?

A purse was handed in at Herculaneum archaeological site and we're trying to get hold of the owner to give it back to her - does anyone know Susan Iley from the UK who has recently been travelling round Greece and Italy? There are no contact details in the purse - but there are the memory cards from her camera, which are possibly more of a loss to her than the money. If we give the purse to the police it probably won't ever find its way back to her so we're holding it in the safe in the Soprintendenza's office in the hope that someone can help find Susan!

Conference: Opening the Past

At this year's "Opening the Past" conference, colleagues from the Herculaneum Conservation Project will be presenting the results of their geoarchaeological work, looking at the original extent of the Vesuvian coastline before AD 79, the extent of the ancient city and the effects of bradyseism on the Roman buildings in the lead-up to the eruption.
