Scavi di Pompei, turisti possono visitare solo l'area del Foro

From ADNKronos, news that large parts of the scavi were shut to tourists yesterday because of heavy rains in the region and accusations from the Uil that tourists shouldn't have been made to pay the EURO 11 entrance fee when they were only allowed to visit the area around the Forum. Another example of how the Uil (and others) will use any opportunity to criticise the Soprintendenza ... What I'm struggling to understand is what the Uil hopes to gain from all these accusations. Can anyone shed any light on their motives?

Via libera a visitatori e turisti all'interno degli scavi di Pompei, ma solo per l'area che circonda il Foro civile. Questa la decisione della direzione degli scavi, dopo la chiusura precauzionale di questa mattina fino alle 11. I due ingressi di Piazza Anfiteatro e Piazza Esedra risultavano impraticabili a causa dell'allagamento che ha colpito la città moderna all'esterno del sito archeologico. Dopo un sopralluogo, è stata decisa l'apertura dell'ingresso di Porta Marina Superiore.
